I am Jean Bukuru, a Mastercard Foundation Scholar pursuing a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration (Accounting) at United States International University-Africa. I am also the Founder of Prime Pork Farms Ltd and Head of Career Services at Light4Refugee. I use financial knowledge, entrepreneurial thinking, and collaborative leadership to develop commercially viable solutions to social and environmental challenges, creating sustainable opportunities for refugee and host communities.

Who I Am

A story shaped by resilience, community, and purpose.

My journey did not begin in a lecture hall, it began in community: teaching English to fellow refugee students, mentoring young people navigating displacement, and learning that leadership is, above all, an act of service. Today, as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar pursuing a degree in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration at USIU-Africa, I channel that same commitment into finance, entrepreneurship, and social impact.

I believe that sustainable change happens when rigorous professional skill meets genuine community investment. Every fellowship, certification, and project in my journey has been a deliberate step toward becoming a leader who can move fluently between boardrooms and communities, and deliver in both.

Entrepreneurship & Circular Agriculture

PRIME PORK FARMS Ltd

Building a refugee-led agribusiness that converts pig waste into organic fertilizer, creates livelihoods, and promotes more sustainable resource use. The farm currently keeps around 20 pigs, produces approximately 40 bags of organic fertilizer per month, and has trained 40 local farmers in waste-to-value practices.
